What we hold, and why
This wording is being checked by lawyers in the countries we operate in. It describes what the site does today; it is not yet the final policy.
Where the information comes from
Most of it comes from colleges themselves: the roster and statistics pages they publish for their own teams. We read those every morning. We add nothing to a player's page that the player has not either published themselves or given us.
What is public and what is not
A player's page is only public if that player claimed it and switched it on. Until then it exists inside the site for coaches and staff, and it is kept out of search engines.
Contact details are never shown publicly. Email addresses, phone numbers and a parent's details are not on any public page, whatever the player's age.
Players under 18
We treat anybody under 18 more carefully: location is shown as a town and a country rather than an address, and contact details are not shown at all. Where a parent or guardian is linked to the account, they can see and control what is public.
Cookies
One cookie, called cshq_session, which remembers that you are signed
in. It is set only after you sign in, and signing out deletes it. There are no
advertising cookies, no third-party trackers and no analytics scripts on this
site.
How long we keep things
Published college figures are kept as a historical record, the same way a college's own record books are. Anything you gave us is deleted when you close your account.
Is this page about you?
If there is a page here about you, or about your child, and you want it corrected or taken down, tell us and a person will read it. You do not need an account.
